    Nationwide Scholarship Program Meeting Reports:

    The weekly Nationwide Scholarship Program (NSP)Meeting took place this Saturday, 21st of September 2002.

    Agenda's discussed were:

    1) HMG Ministry of Education's recent scaling back free education from class 10 down to class 6, and how it will affect the scholarships provided by NSP. So far NSP has provided scholarships to students in 40 districts out of the 75 total in Nepal. Normally it takes students from class 8 and then provides scholarships up to SLC.

    2)SELECTION OF BRIGHT/NEEDY Students in class 8 in different districts in Nepal done. Priority in terms of Lower Caste/Female/Poor Income/ Education quality.

    3)A web brochure/ printed brochure of NSP to be finalized.

    4)A meeting with District coordinators/Volunteers at Budhanilkantha School to be scheduled whereby the Executive committee of NSP will educate the students about NSP and solicit help from them.
