As usual, our alma matter, Budhanilkantha School, has produced good academic results in SLC. According to the results published a few weeks ago, all students appearing for the SLC examination have passed in the first division. Dilli Ram Poudel and Maheshwar Shrestha stood first with 710 marks out of 800. With popular demand, SEBS has started sending newsletter via E-mail to inform our SEBS Members with recently held and any forthcoming activities. (Source: TKP) SEBS has decided to publish special issue of "AASTHA" dedicated to our distinguished late members Dipendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev and Nirajan Bir Bikram Shah Dev.

The quality and size of the publication would depend upon the contributions, participation and support of all the members. So we would like to request all the members who would be interested towards the publication to contact SEBS office, tel 411390, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
SEBS NA Reunion was a success Decisions taken at Philly Reunion
Members of the executive committee from North America and Nepal would like to thank everyone who made it to the reunion in Philadelphia. About 65 brothers and sisters participated in the reunion and SEBS caucus. Various critical decisions were made during the SEBS caucus which surprisingly went on for 4.5hrs. Enthusiasm and genuine concern shown by dais, bhais, friends, and bahinis will carry this organization a long way. Following decisions were taken at the Philadelphia Reunion 2001:

1. http://www.sebsonline.org is to implement new disclaimer at the website encouraging members to make proper use of the website.
2. Current Ad-hoc committee is to solicit interested girl member to join the ad-hoc team to help recruit and bolster women participation in SEBS.
3. SEBS-NA is to notify members about any intended change in the use of their funds as earlier proposed projects are no longer feasible or are redundant. Thus money will be diverted to newer projects.
4. SEBS-NA is to encourage members to reunite regionally within North America at least once a year.
5. SEBS –NA and SEBS- (Nepal) is to continue building closer ties while remaining as separate legal entity.
6. Focus in the coming year would include, implementing at least one new project, encouraging wider participation from members and introducing new features in terms of technology, research and focus groups.
7. Ad-hoc status is to continue for another year. However emphasis will be given to soon legitimize the executive committee.
